《人间明暗》是知名纪录片导演范俭的首部纪实文学作品。
多年来，范俭致力于纪录片的拍摄，从汶川地震后“失独”再生育家庭、武汉新冠期间普通民众的日常生活，到诗人余秀华摇摇晃晃的人生……他用无声的镜头凝视生命的兀自流动，对时代巨变下的人性、家庭的故事投入深切的关注。
范俭以其十余年来拍摄的纪录片中人物为主线，书写社会巨变下小人物的悲欢离合。文字平实、朴素，有着纪录片拍摄者独有的客观与细致，平静的叙述下隐藏着巨大的波澜。这不是一本简单的导演手记，也不是纪录片的文字翻版，而是一本基于大量田野调查、聚焦普通人生存境况的非虚构作品。
作者简介
范俭
毕业于武汉大学及北京电影学院，导演创作纪录片已近二十年，作品旨在为时代留切片，为历史留存照。作品《摇摇晃晃的人间》获得2016阿姆斯特丹纪录片电影节长片竞赛评委会奖等多个国际奖项，并提名2017上海电影节金爵奖最佳纪录片；《吾土》入围2016柏林电影节；《活着》曾获得2011广州纪录片节评审团奖；2021年作品《两个星球》在纽约纪录片电影节获奖。
于2018年成为美国电影艺术与科学学院会员，参与奥斯卡纪录片评审工作。
Content introduction
The Light and Shade in the World is the first documentary literary work of the famous documentary director Fan Jian.
Over the years, Fan Jian has been working on documentaries, covering everything from the "lost child" family after the Wenchuan earthquake, the daily life of ordinary people during the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, to the shaky life of poet Yu Xiuhua. He used the silent lens to gaze at the flow of life, and deeply concerned about the story of humanity and family under the great changes of The Times.
Fan Jian takes the characters in the documentaries he has shot for more than ten years as the main line, writing about the joys and sorrows of small people under the great changes in society. The text is plain and simple, with the unique objectivity and meticulousness of documentary filmmakers, and there are huge waves hidden under the calm narrative. This is not a simple director's note, nor is it a literal copy of a documentary, but a nonfiction work based on extensive field research and focusing on the living conditions of ordinary people.
About the author
Fan Jian
Graduated from Wuhan University and Beijing Film Academy, the director has been creating documentaries for nearly two decades, and his works aim to leave slices for The Times and preserve photos for history. His work "Wobbly Earth" won several international awards such as the Jury Award in the Feature Film Competition of the 2016 Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival, and was nominated for the Best Documentary at the 2017 Shanghai Film Festival Golden Goblet Award. My Soil was selected for the 2016 Berlin Film Festival; "To Live" won the jury Award of 2011 Guangzhou Documentary Festival; In 2021, Two Planets won an award at the New York Documentary Film Festival.
In 2018, he became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and participated in the Academy Award for documentary judging.
