【作者简介】
弗朗茨·卡夫卡（1883—1924）：奥地利作家。生于布拉格犹太商人家庭，与父亲关系始终不睦。1906年获法学博士学位，1908年起任职于工伤保险公司，并开始发表作品。1924年病逝于维也纳。作品多呈现小人物在社会重压之下孤独、苦闷、恐惧而又不甘屈服于命运的生存状态，文字简练，风格冷峻，但因作家丰富而玄奥的思想，留下可供多样化解读的巨大空间。卡夫卡对后世影响深远，被奉为“现代主义文学之父”。代表作有《城堡》《审判》《变形记》等。

【 About the author 】
Franz Kafka (1883-1924) : Austrian writer. Born into a Jewish merchant family in Prague, he never got along with his father. He received his juris Doctor degree in 1906, and began to work for the Workers' Injury Insurance Company in 1908, where he began to publish. He died in Vienna in 1924. Most of the works show the living state of small people who are lonely, depressed, afraid and unwilling to yield to fate under the pressure of society. The text is concise and the style is cold, but the writer's rich and mysterious thoughts leave huge space for diversified interpretation. Kafka had a profound influence on later generations and was regarded as the "father of modernist literature". His masterpieces include "The Castle", "The Trial" and "The Metamorphosis".
