The 48 Laws of Power
One of the 75 most intelligent books to read. The "power" referred to in the book The 48 Laws of Power is a "pan-power" concept, and does not refer exclusively to political intrigue. More synonymous with "control" and "manipulative power." The cases in the book are as large as national strategy, political wrestling, and as small as business strategies and business warfare techniques.
"The 48 Laws of Power" breaks the usual logical pattern and gives us a straightforward interpretation of the successes and failures of history from the perspective of backward thinking. Although the American utilitarian interpretation is sometimes difficult to accept, there is wisdom and thought-provoking depth in it.
About the author
Robert Greene, famous best-selling author and public speaker. Born in Los Angeles, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin, and has worked as an editor and freelance writer for prestigious magazines such as The New Yorker and Esquire. He is fluent in many languages, has traveled all over the world, and has seen a lot of things.
In 1998, Green teamed up with book publisher Juste Elvers to produce the blockbuster 48 Laws of Power. The book has been translated into 17 languages, is a global bestseller, and was recommended by Fortune magazine as one of the "75 Most Intelligent Books to read."
In 2001, Green's second book, The Art of Seduction, was published. This is a book detailing the wisdom of history's greatest seducer.
In January 2006, the highly anticipated third book in the series, The 33 Strategies of War, was published. This book provides practical strategic wisdom to the world through the vivid military war strategies in history.
