作者简介
阿兰•巴迪欧，当代法国左翼哲学家，曾任巴黎高师哲学教授，他与德勒兹、利奥塔等人一起开创了巴黎八大哲学系，是当代世界上与齐泽克、阿甘本等人齐名，很有影响力的左翼学者之一。曾师从阿尔都塞，在20世纪80年代之后对后现代主义的哲学终结论给予了批判，以《存在与事件》一书开创了事件哲学。他的其他代表作还包括《主体理论》《世界的逻辑》《世纪》《哲学宣言》《第二哲学宣言》等。
胡陈尧，四川大学法文系教师，南京大学法语语言文学博士。主要从事翻译理论与翻译批评研究，译有《沉默史：从文艺复兴到现在》《舌尖上的名字》及《被诅咒的部分》（合译）等。
A brief introduction to the Adventures of French Philosophy
This book is a collection of critical essays by Alain Badiou, the famous contemporary French philosopher, which brings together the author's critical essays on the contemporary French philosophers such as Sartre, Althusser, Deleuze, Ricault, Lyotard, and Rancier, who are both his teachers, friends, and "enemies". For Badiou, the "singularities" represented by the philosophers in the book constitute an extraordinary moment of adventure in contemporary French philosophy, comparable in scale and innovation to classical Greek philosophy and German idealist philosophy. The French philosophy of this moment is fully concerned with the subject, modernity, politics, and the German philosophical heritage, and competes with literature and psychoanalysis, showing the eagerness of the contemporary philosopher to break away from the magi and become a combative writer, an artist of the subject, and a lover of creation. As a witness and a presence at this philosophical moment, Badiou, while expressing sincere respect for fellow philosophers, is also unapologetically skeptical and critical. About the author
Alain Badiou, a contemporary French left-wing philosopher, used to be a professor of philosophy at the Ecole Superieure de Paris. Together with Deleuze and Liotard, he founded the eight philosophy departments in Paris. He is one of the most influential left-wing scholars in the contemporary world, along with Zizek and Agamben. He studied under Althusser and criticized the final conclusion of postmodernism after the 1980s, and started the event philosophy with his book Being and Event. His other masterpieces include the Theory of Subjectivity, the Logic of the World, the Century, the Manifesto of Philosophy, and the Manifesto of Second Philosophy.
Hu Chenyao is a professor of French at Sichuan University and a doctor of French Language and Literature at Nanjing University. His research focuses on translation theory and criticism, including The History of Silence: From the Renaissance to the Present, The Name on the Tongue and The Cursed Part.
