日本著名社会学家。专攻家庭社会学、情感社会学及性别论。擅长从社会学的角度剖析亲子、夫妻和恋人等社会关系。他着眼于1990年代末急剧变化的日本社会，将大部分日本年轻人失去希望的社会状况命名为“希望格差社会”，并成为“格差社会论”的先行者之一。主要著作包括《低生育陷阱》《希望格差社会》《“婚活”时代》《家庭难民》等。
"Low Fertility Trap" 【 Content Introduction 】
Japan's birth rate remains stubbornly low, more than three decades after census statistics in 1990 showed it had fallen to an all-time low. As a natural consequence, Japan's population began to shrink in the 21st century. On the one hand, Europeans and Americans are surprised that Japan has not done anything about the phenomenon of fewer children; East Asian countries, on the other hand, worry that they will not follow Japan's example, and regard Japan as a negative example.
Yamada Masahiro, a famous Japanese sociologist, has studied the past and present lives of the phenomenon of fewer children in Japan, and tried to find the root cause of the problem and the way to solve it. According to his investigation, the failure of Japan's child-saving strategy is mainly due to the fact that the Japanese government mistakenly references the customs and values of Europe and the United States, fails to pay attention to the aspirations and realities of today's young people, and is always slow to act when money is involved in policy.
Although Japan's strategy of reducing the number of children has failed, the difficulties and traps it has encountered are still worth the reflection of East Asian countries, including China, especially in today's low fertility rate in East Asia.

Famous Japanese sociologist. He specializes in sociology of the family, sociology of emotions, and gender theory. He is good at analyzing parent-child, husband and wife, lovers and other social relationships from the perspective of sociology. Focusing on the rapid changes in Japanese society in the late 1990s, he named the social situation in which most Japanese young people lost hope as the "hope society", and became one of the pioneers of the "social theory of tolerance". His major books include the Low Fertility Trap, the Hope Society, the Age of Marriage and Living, and Family Refugees.
