《人类知识演化史》内容简介

　　雷恩教授分别考察了文字的演变、科学在古代世界的出现、近代早期的科学革命、知识的全球化、工业化等重大历史事件，最终在更广泛的知识史中重新构建了科学技术史。其研究方法借鉴了进化生物学、认知科学的相关成果，也融合了历史学、社会学的视角，又通过力学、化学、地质、农业等方面的具体例子，将多项具体研究整合进了一个大框架内。因此，本书不只是一种通俗意义上对科学的“文化史”叙事，更是通过专业、清晰、严谨的方式，对自然科学各专业领域内的具体研究进行的深入分析。科学被置入更广泛的人类知识背景，成了人类历史发展的关键因素。

　　针对当前的“人类世”地质年代及其带来的多重挑战，本书还在最后部分提出了一个切实而饱含希望的建议：如果我们能够基于新兴的社会网络分析，更充分和完善地利用互联网，构建一个全人类共同的“认知之网”，也许，人类自身及其文化将最终得以长久存续。

　　于尔根•雷恩（JürgenRenn），生于1956年，德国国家科学院院士，德国马克斯•普朗克学会人文社科部主任，马普科学史研究所、马普地球人类学研究所所长，中国科学院自然科学史研究所名誉教授，欧洲科学史学会古斯塔夫•诺伊恩施万德奖获得者，《中国科学技术史（英文）》期刊主编之一。他的主要研究方向为物理学史、历史认识论。国内已引进著作有《相对论之路》（合著，2019）、《站在巨人与矮子肩上：爱因斯坦未完成的革命》（2009）等。

Introduction to the History of the Evolution of Human Knowledge

Professor Wren examines major historical events such as the evolution of writing, the emergence of science in the ancient world, the scientific revolution in the early modern period, the globalization of knowledge, and industrialization, and ultimately reconstructs the history of science and technology within the broader history of knowledge. Its research methods draw on the relevant achievements of evolutionary biology and cognitive science, but also integrate the perspectives of history and sociology, and integrate a number of specific studies into a large framework through specific examples in mechanics, chemistry, geology, agriculture and other aspects. Thus, this book is not just a "cultural history" of science in the popular sense, but also an in-depth analysis of specific research in the various professional fields of the natural sciences in a professional, clear, and rigorous manner. The insertion of science into the wider context of human knowledge has been a key factor in the development of human history.

JurgenRenn (born in 1956), member of the German National Academy of Sciences, director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Max Planck Society of Germany, director of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and the Max Planck Institute for Earth Anthropology, honorary Professor of the Institute of the History of Natural Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, winner of the Gustav Neuschwandt Prize of the European Society for the History of Science. He is one of the chief editors of the journal History of Science and Technology in China. His main research interests are the history of physics and historical epistemology. His books include The Road to Relativity (co-authored, 2019) and On the Shoulders of Giants and Dwarfs: Einstein's Unfinished Revolution (2009).

Zhu Danqiong is an associate professor and master tutor at the School of Humanities, Xidian University. Her major research interests include Philosophy of science, ecological philosophy, and biological and cultural diversity protection.
