《大流士大帝》内容简介

Introduction to Darius the Great
Darius the Great tells in plain language the life story of Darius, the third ruler of the Persian Empire. Darius was not only the great monarch of the Persian Empire, but also a famous statesman in world history, and was honored by later generations as "the Emperor of Iron and Blood". Cambyses, the son of Cyrus the Great, was killed in a coup during his expedition to Egypt, and the Persian Empire was plunged into turmoil. Darius allied with the Persian nobles, killed the rebels, and ascended the throne as Darius I. During the reign of Darius, he created provinces, suppressed revolts, and reunited the vast Persian Empire. The complacent Darius suppressed the uprisings in Babylon and Egypt.
