《富马利中国见闻录》内容简介

作者简介
富马利（1854—1927），出生于美国俄亥俄州阿什兰，1880年获得医学博士学位。1884年来到中国。1899年，与中国女助手在广州创立了女子医学堂（系中国第一所女子医学院）。同年底，学院附设柔济妇孺医院（今广州医科大学附属第三医院）。1917年返回美国。
露西·皮博迪（1861-1949），出生于美国堪萨斯州贝尔蒙特，毕业于罗切斯特大学，1902-1929年间协助富马利整理后者在中国期间撰写的书信、日记及搜集到的报道等。
A brief introduction to the contents of the Report on China in Mali
This book records the life and practice of Fumali in China from 1884 to 1917, and the translation of Western works. It focuses on the experience of founding the Women's Medical School in Guangzhou and the Ruoji Women's and Children's Hospital (now the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University), and various experiences of practicing medicine in Guangzhou. The appendix includes the literature related to Fumari, the pictures that corroborate the original text and the literature about Guangzhou Women's Medical Hall in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.

This book is the first Chinese translation published by Fumali, the founder of Guangdong Women's Medical School and the Affiliated Ruoji Hospital (now the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University), during his practice in China.
About the author
Fumari (1854-1927) was born in Ashland, Ohio, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1880. He came to China in 1884. In 1899, with a Chinese female assistant, she founded the Women's Medical College (the first female medical college in China) in Guangzhou. At the end of the same year, the Ruoji Women's and Children's Hospital (now the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University) was established. He returned to the United States in 1917.
Lucy Peabody (1861-1949), born in Belmont, Kansas, graduated from the University of Rochester and assisted Fumaly in compiling his letters, diaries and reports collected during his stay in China from 1902 to 1929.
