The Untimely Death of Spirit and Soul
A dark farce of cunning evil
A self-defeating death orgy
Six young men gather for a weekend in a large house on the outskirts of London, where their appetite is piqued by the arrival of three American guests. Their excessive drinking and debauchery was followed by a series of beatings, murders and car crashes. From Friday morning to Sunday, the people in that house "felt as if they had traveled a long way and been taken out of their mother's womb and reborn all over again by the midwife on this sudden weekend."
With a humorous and ironic tone, the author presents the social storm of radical liberalism set off in the Western world in the 1960s and 1970s. This storm broke the bottom line of the Western moral tradition, caused great impact and damage to a generation, and turned one innocent and kind young people into "civilized barbarians", becoming a countercurrent in the long river of human history.
