〔英〕罗伯特·毕可思，英国著名历史学家，英国布里斯托大学历史学教授，毕业于英国伦敦大学亚非学院，研究中国近代史、英国殖民史多年，曾任香港大学人文学院名誉教授，有多部历史著作问世，在中国出版的作品有：《帝国造就了我》《瓜分中国》及入围2018年沃尔夫森历史奖的《滚出中国：十九、二十世纪的国耻，如何缔造了民族主义的中国》。

About the author
Robert Burkes, a famous British historian, Professor of History at the University of Bristol, graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has studied modern Chinese history and British colonial history for many years, and was honorary professor of the School of Humanities at the University of Hong Kong. He has published many historical works, and his works published in China include: "The Empire Made Me," "Dividing China," and "Get Out of China: How the National Humiliation of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries Created a Nationalist China," a finalist for the Wolfson History Prize 2018.
