Content introduction
A Literary Review is Kierkegaard's review of the Two Ages by the Danish writer Tomasina Gulenburg. Gulenburg's Two Ages tells two love stories of the "revolutionary age" and the "present age," while comparing the characteristics of the two ages (passion and reason). The cultural diversity of the two eras in this novel is exactly what Kierkegaard wanted to show, so he wrote a review of the novel. Kierkegaard described the revolutionary age as essentially passionate; It does not cancel the law of contradiction, and thus has good and evil, and the dynamic of passion makes the action come to pass, whichever way is chosen. After discussing the plot of the novel, he dissects the mediocrity of the modern era, dissects the disembodied crowd, and discusses the concepts of "leveling", "outliers" and "the public".
