Content introduction
"Who Can Live a Good Life in Russia" is an important representative work of Russian poet Nekrasov, and also a summary of his life creation. By showing a broad picture of the people's life after the "reform" of serfdom and the people's emotions and exploration, this long narrative poem of nearly 10,000 lines exposes the corrupt and authoritarian Russia and praises the Russia of the people who are beginning to wake up, thus becoming an epic in the era of great transition.
About the author
Author: Nikolai Alexievich Nekrasov, outstanding Russian revolutionary democratic poet. In the middle of the 19th century, under the rule of the Tsar in Russia, as the spokesman of the awakening of the toiling masses, he wrote a lot of revenge and grief poems, occupies an important position in the history of Russian literature. He is known as the "people's poet" and his work has had a major impact on Russian poetry as well as Soviet poetry.
Translator: Fei Bai, born in 1929, was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was a professor of Foreign Languages Department of Yunnan University and honorary president of Zhejiang Comparative Literature and Foreign Literature Society.
