Awards received include: Albert Lasker Award for Clinical Medical Research Award, the American Psychological Association's (APA) Lifetime Achievement Award, the American Psychiatric Association's Distinguished Service Award, and the Robert J.and Claire Pasarow Foundation Award for Neuropsychiatric Research Research in Neuropsychiatry, the Institute of Medicine's Sanat International Award for Mental Health, and the Gustav O.Lienhard Award. Dr. Baker, who has extensive experience in the field of personality disorders, has done two studies on cognitive therapy for borderline personality disorder.
