这是一本关于生命、成长和死亡的人生回忆录。作者通过回忆童年及亲人的离世的经历,梳理了自己的生命历程,讲述了对死亡的思考,对生命、亲情、自我的追问。后因母亲癌末痛苦且孤独的悲惨离世及自己确诊癌症的消息而经受了身体和精神的双重打击,在不得不面对自己的死亡时,作者开始寻找有质量、有尊严的死亡可能。在寻找的路上,她遇见安宁缓和医疗,并成为一名安宁志愿者,内心的哀伤得到疗愈和救赎,因而得以从母亲去世的阴影中走出,并下定决心要用自己所学帮父亲善终,也有勇气直面自己的癌症,重新拥抱生命。
作者简介
徐舒
1957年10月出生于吉林省长春市,曾任大学老师、服装设计师,现已退休。罹患乳腺癌后,积极寻求生命成长的新可能,并成为海淀医院安宁病房的一位志愿者,目前一边学习一边实践安宁照护、陪伴生命末期患者的事业。

This is a memoir of life, growing up and dying. Through recalling his childhood and the death of his relatives, the author combs his own life course, tells the reflection on death, and questions about life, family and self. After the tragic death of her mother at the end of cancer, which was painful and lonely, and the news of her own cancer diagnosis, she suffered a double blow both physically and mentally. When she had to face her own death, the author began to look for the possibility of a quality and dignified death. On the way to search, she met Hospice Palliative Care, and became a Hospice volunteer. Her inner sadness was healed and redeemed, so she was able to walk out of the shadow of her mother's death, and made up her mind to use what she learned to help her father die a good death, and also had the courage to face her own cancer and embrace life again.

Xu Shu
Born in Changchun, Jilin Province in October 1957, he used to be a university teacher and fashion designer, and is now retired. After suffering from breast cancer, I actively sought new possibilities for life growth, and became a volunteer in the hospice ward of Haidian Hospital. At present, I am studying and practicing hospice care to accompany patients at the end of life.
