Vitelli, one of the authors of The Secret, had heard from a friend about a psychologist who had cured an entire hospital of mentally ill criminals without ever seeing the patients. The patients who had committed the crime, although shackled, would attack the staff from time to time. Psychologists leave the hospital every month, and staff are often absent from work.
