布莱恩·基廷（Brian Keating）
美国著名物理学家，加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校杰出教授，著有200余份科学出版物，拥有两项美国专利，是畅销回忆录《失去诺贝尔奖》的作者。基廷曾在众多高校从事研究，如凯斯西储大学、布朗大学、斯坦福大学和加州理工院。2007年小布什总统为其颁发美国青年科学家与工程师总统奖。基廷是美国物理学会会员，共同领导了智利的西蒙斯阵列和西蒙斯天文台宇宙学项目。同时基廷还是飞行员，以及美国黑人物理学家协会的终身荣誉员。

About the author
Brian Keating
Famous American physicist, distinguished professor at the University of California, San Diego, author of more than 200 scientific publications, holds two U.S. patents, and is the author of the best-selling memoir "Losing the Nobel Prize." Keating has done research at a number of universities, including Case Western Reserve University, Brown University, Stanford University, and the California Institute of Technology. In 2007, President George W. Bush presented him with the Presidential Award for Young American Scientists and Engineers. Keating is a fellow of the American Physical Society and co-directs the Simons Array and Simons Observatory Cosmology projects in Chile. Keating was also a pilot and a life honorary member of the American Association of Black Physicists.
