约翰·特雷什（John Tresch），伦敦大学瓦尔堡研究院艺术史、科学史与实践民俗学教授，曾任教于宾夕法尼亚大学科技史专业。他曾获得纽约公共图书馆、哥伦比亚大学、芝加哥大学、马克斯·普朗克科学史研究所和社会科学高等研究学院的奖学金，著有《浪漫机器：拿破仑之后的乌托邦科学与技术》一书。

About the author
John Tresch is Professor of art history, history of Science, and practical Folklore at the Warburg Institute, University of London, and previously taught the History of Science and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. He has received fellowship from the New York Public Library, Columbia University, the University of Chicago, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, and the Institute for Advanced Research in the Social Sciences, and is the author of The Romantic Machine: Utopian Science and Technology After Napoleon.
