本书收录了两位思想巨擘保罗·利科与加布里埃尔·马赛尔的六次对话的文字成果。1968年，保罗·利科多次拜访了业师马赛尔，并与他讨论有关形上学、存在主义、戏剧、神圣、死亡、科技等问题。在这六次讨论中，他们少有意见不一之处，二人有着基本的共识。利科采用了马塞尔的存有论立场作为自己的立场。
马赛尔认为，谦逊是“存有”的真实见证人的记号。而见证，则是为光作见证。利科说马赛尔首创了“光的形上学”。光照明、引导、吸引旅途之人与其他路人同步前行。这光也许变得黯淡，但它仍能指示晨曦的方向，给人带来希望。

作者简介：
保罗·利科（Paul Ricoeur，1913—2005），法国著名哲学家、当代最重要的解释学家之一。曾任法国斯特拉斯堡大学教授、巴黎大学教授，并为美国芝加哥大学、耶鲁大学、加拿大蒙特利尔大学等大学客座教授。2004年11月，被美国国会图书馆授予有人文领域的诺贝尔奖之称的克鲁格人文与社会科学终身成就奖。
加布里埃尔·马赛尔(Gabriel Marcel，1889—1973)，与海德格尓、雅斯贝尔斯、萨特并列20世纪四大存在哲学大师的法国哲学家，影响深远。其哲学奠定后来梅洛-庞蒂的知觉／身体现象学，诠释现象学巨擘保罗·利科亦视其为自己早期的引路人。著有《是与有》《临在与不死》《论人的尊严》等。

陆达诚，法国巴黎第四大学哲学博士。曾师从列维纳斯，对马赛尔作过深入的研究和迻译。曾执教于政治大学哲学系（1977—1992）及辅仁大学宗教系（1992—2013），目前专注于著述和翻译工作。
Content introduction
This book contains the written results of six conversations between two intellectual giants, Paul Ricco and Gabriel Marcel. In 1968, Paul Ricothe visited Master Marcel several times to discuss metaphysics, existentialism, drama, the divine, death, and technology. In these six discussions, they rarely disagreed, and the two men had a basic consensus. Ricoeur adopted Marcel's existentialist position as his own.
For Marcel, humility is the mark of a true witness of being. And to bear witness is to bear witness to the light. Licot says that Marcel pioneered the "metaphysics of light." Light illuminates, guides, and attracts travelers to walk in sync with other passers-by. The light may be dimmed, but it still points the way to the morning and gives hope.
In addition, this book also includes Marcel's play "The Broken World", which was mentioned many times in the dialogue between Lico and Marcel. It is the literary embodiment of Marcel's existential philosophy, and has won Lico's praise.
About the author:
Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005) was a famous French philosopher and one of the most important interpreters of our time. He has been a professor at the University of Strasbourg and the University of Paris in France, and a visiting professor at the University of Chicago, Yale University, and the University of Montreal in Canada. In November 2004, he was awarded the Krueger Award for Lifetime Achievement in Humanities and Social Sciences by the Library of Congress.
Gabriel Marcel (1889-1973) was a French philosopher who, along with Heidegger, Jaspers and Sartre, was one of the four great masters of existential philosophy in the 20th century. His philosophy was the foundation of Merleau-Ponty's perceptual/bodily phenomenology, and Paul Ricothe, a giant of interpretative phenomenology, regarded him as his early guide. He is the author of "Being and Being", "Presence and immortality", "On Human Dignity" and so on.
About the Translator
Lu Dacheng, the fourth largest Doctor of Philosophy in Paris, France. He studied and translated Marcel in depth under Levinas. He taught at the Department of Philosophy, Chengchi University (1977-1992) and the Department of Religion, Fu Jen University (1992-2013), and currently focuses on writing and translation.
