齐格蒙特▪鲍曼（Zygmunt Bauman，1925—2017）

出生于波兰，当代西方杰出的思想家。

曾任华沙大学社会系教授、英国利兹大学终身教授。被誉为“当今用英文写作的伟大的社会学家”“后现代性预言者”。

一生出版50多本著作。代表作品有《流动的现代性》《工作、消费主义和新穷人》《现代性与大屠杀》《社会学之思》等。

彼得▪哈夫纳（Peter Haffner，1953—）

记者、作家。长年在美国、波兰和德国工作。

他在苏黎世大学攻读哲学和历史学位。之后，成为一名自由记者，为瑞士、德国和奥地利的媒体工作。1994年获埃贡▪欧文▪基施奖。1994年获苏黎世新闻奖。

About the author

Zygmunt Bauman (1925-2017)

Born in Poland, he is a prominent contemporary Western thinker.

He was a professor of sociology at the University of Warsaw and a tenured professor at the University of Leeds. He has been hailed as "the great sociologist writing in English today" and "postmodernity prophet".

He published more than 50 books in his lifetime. His works include: Fluid Modernity, Work, Consumerism and the New Poor, Modernity and the Holocaust, Sociological Thoughts and so on.

Peter Haffner (1953 -)

Journalist, writer. He has worked in the USA, Poland and Germany for many years.

He studied for degrees in philosophy and history at the University of Zurich. He then became a freelance journalist, working for media outlets in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. He was awarded the Egon Owen Kisch Prize in 1994. He was awarded the Zurich Journalism Prize in 1994.
