本书为中国作协、湖北省作协“孤寡老人生存状态调查项目”，旨在通过对福利院等场所的孤宿老人的走访采访，提炼出孤寡的成因，呈现孤宿老人的现状，引发社会各界的高度关注。在老龄化越来越明显的今天，孤宿老人的人生际遇、当下生存和精神状态，是极具社会价值的资料。

This is the case for the 54 elderly orphans in this book, who are now under the careful care of the civil affairs department and living a comfortable life, but their mental condition has become a relatively prominent problem. From their oral accounts, we can see that they all have a very rich life experience, are yearning for family life, full of yearning for family happiness, and have struggled and struggled for a long time after encountering the unfair treatment of fate. This book is created by the collective interview of the project team on the living state of lonely elderly people, the general director of the project team Pu Xuan, the team leader Fu Xiaoping, Cheng Wenmin, the deputy team leader Guo Xiaowen, Chu Lin.
