Content introduction

A focus on hot topics, the strength of the hot industry, a complete presentation of the invention and development of the chip more than 60 years of history.

The book completely presents the history of chip invention and development, from the quantum mechanics that supports the development of the chip industry, gradually developed to semiconductor physics, and then gave birth to semiconductor devices, these devices from simple to complex, like a germinating seed, evolved dual ji transistor, MOS field effect transistor, photoelectric two ji tube, etc. Thus, analog chips (communication and sensor chips, etc.), digital chips (CPU, memory, FPGA, etc.) and photoelectric chips are integrated and constructed. Finally, the book also shows the development process of chip design methods and manufacturing methods from manual to automatic, and points out the challenges faced by the chip in the future and possible solutions. It can be said that to understand the chip, there is enough of this book.

The history of the development of chips is a history of innovation and rebellion - detailing the story of a group of rebels breaking through tradition and constantly innovating.

The author takes the birth and development of chips as the main line, reorganizes and arranges the vast and complicated information scattered around the world in laboratories, magazines, books or news reports, and writes such a comprehensive work under the premise of striving for accuracy and science, so that we can deeply understand the personal world of those chip inventors scattered in the deep history through the four words of "chip history". Experience the hardships and joys, tribulations and happiness they have experienced in the development/Ming, and re-walk the road of chip invention with them, see how they break through the difficulties in scientific research and obstacles in the real world, and make inventions and innovations that change and even subvert the face of the world.

A history of technological innovation that crosses the barriers of professionals and the public, an excellent business book to understand the development of the chip and see the future development trend.

Chips constitute the core control unit for the normal operation of modern society, affecting national security, business, politics, culture, etc., without chips, everything we have now would be impossible to talk about. In order to make it easier for the public to understand the chip more clearly, the author of this book has made the following efforts in writing: First, to highly restore the historical process of innovation, show the concepts and technologies that were once prevalent, and how new technologies sprout and struggle with them and eventually break through. The second is to highlight the individual as an innovator, shining the spotlight of history on the scientists and engineers in front of the experimental bench, showing their inner desires, pursuits, difficulties, jealousy and joy. Third, the spark of the invention is clearly presented. Although the "dose" of knowledge is compressed, it is enough to stimulate the intellectual interest of the reader, and the narrative is no less thrilling than that of a novel.

About the author
